Condolence: We fondly remember our trips to Maine and your visit to see us in NC.

Our daughters still remember the excursion to see Schooner Fare...and Jean's amazing baking skills.

Steve, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. We will truly miss Jean.

Condolence: Our birthday could not possibly be the same, as you said your mother is still with you in spirit, I am hopeful the same will be the case with you. I'm still amazed you pulled pork from a sitting position but a lot of things about you surprised me, changing purses for a better color, knowing all about the colors of lobsters and even more than I knew about our favorite Berlin museum. Rest in peace, dearest friend. You are missed.

Condolence: Steve, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. Jean was such a lovely lady and you two were the perfect couple. Glad you were able to enjoy some good years together in Maine after your retirements.

With deepest sympathy,

Condolence: Jean Vernet was one of the finest women I've ever known. She was kind, extremely intelligent and could bake apple cookies that melted in your mouth! For many years, she suffered serious health problems with courage and dignity. She and her husband, Steve, built their dream retirement home in Maine and enjoyed participating in their new community. I liked and admired Jean, and I will remember her always with great affection.

Condolence From: John Ferguson
Condolence: It took me a few years to be able to think of Jean as my Step-Mother and not simply my Dad's wife, and there were easy times and more difficult times as we grew accustomed to one another, but I know that she always did her best to do right by me and my sister. She was always there to talk or help just like any other parent would be. Krista is grateful that she got the chance to meet you, Jean, and I'm grateful that you were in my life. We miss you.

Condolence: Dear Steve,
I want to express my condolences for your loss. I fondly remember Jean as part of our DOE lunch group with several others over several years. Jean was always a pleasure to talk with and share time with on a regular basis.
Warmly, Francine
