Condolence: it with a very sad heart I write to express my condolences on the passing of my very dear and old friend "Chett". Somehow, I always thought this would trip would continue a bit longe and we would have the pleasure to be together again. I had the rare priviledge to be a classmate of Chetts at Maine maritime Academy and sailed with American Export Lines for some of those years he was there. We had a great training together, but nothing ever prepares us for this ultimate passage ! My heart goes out to all the family and especially his wife who stood by him through these years. He shall be long remembered and I will always think fondly of those wonderful, happy times we shared together when we were so young ! Knowing Chett as I did he is saving us a place in this next world to be near him again !

Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Chet at Senator Lines from 1997-2001, and he was a great source of not only expertise, but also general wisdom and kindness. I have so many fond memories of great conversations and good times with Chet. It was, I believe, his giant heart that allowed me, a young and green kid just out of college, to connect with and befriend an experienced veteran. He's left an indelible mark with me. He was the absolute best, and I've never forgotten him, nor will I ever.

Condolence: Chet was not only a close maritime business associate of great knowledge and skill but also a personal friend. Unfortunately, I cannot attend the visitation and service but wanted to pass on my utmost condolences. May he have "fair winds and a following sea"

Condolence: Words of condolence seem ineffectual in the face of such a great loss. Chet's smile, his willingness to help his fellow man and especially his positive attitude will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathy to Cathy, his sons, his mother and his siblings. A man among men has left us.
