Condolences

Condolence From: David Waltemyer
Condolence: First, I want to send our (Stephanie & David Waltemyer) sincere condolences to the family and pray for comfort and peace for you during this time.

Secondly, this appears to be a divine moment when I usually don't look to the obituaries, but for some reason I looked today (August 14) and saw that Rev. Smeltzer had passed. He married us on August 7, 1972 and as I look back on that occasion have pondered whatever happened to Rev. Smeltzer. Since then we have lived in Colorado and ended up in Alaska.

I am thankful for his willingness to marry us at Hawk Mountain Sancturary on a relatively clear day.
I'll always remember him for that.

Thank you and God bless you.

Condolence From: Jennifer
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Rev. Smeltzer was our minister in Round Pond when I was in high school. I was active in church, but I know I was a pain. I questioned everything and was argumentative in that questioning. I guess that is how our faith grows. My testimony is strong now, but he will know that now that he has gone home. Peace to you, and many blessings!

Condolence: We were so saddened to hear of Dick's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of performing at Kiwanis with him and of course playing the new Allen Organ at the Epworth St. Church. I remember, too, his wonderful Christmas show at the Caribou Perf. Arts Center when I was director there. Our sincerest sympathy to all members of the Smeltzer Family.

Condolence From: Rev Bonnie Whittier
Condolence: Richard was my buddy. We laughed together and we cried together. He has owned the resurrection of his Lord. He has been transformed and is at peace.
I am sad and rejoicing at once.
Blessings to his family and his dear, Janet.
