Linda Mayne Eckman, 51 of Montville, ME, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, with her beloved dog Emily and cat Joey by her side after a prolonged illness. Linda’s determination, positive outlook and wit helped her through her long battle.

An Ann Arbor, MI native, she was born on January 11, 1966, graduated from Pioneer High School in 1984, and went on to work in the beauty industry, then pursued a career working with children. In 2004 she married her husband Andrew Eckman and moved to Maine in 2008. There she loved to go to local festivals, visit the many lighthouses and travel to see all that Maine has to offer.

Linda is survived by her husband, Andrew W. Eckman of Montville, ME; her mother, Jean Mayne of Ann Arbor, MI; brother, Mark and family of Whitmore Lake MI; her step-son, Jonathan Eckman of Meriden, CT; niece, Lisa and family of Ypsilanti, MI; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Linda will be laid to rest at Washtenong Memorial Park in Ann Arbor, MI at a later date. Donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Maine Coast Animal Rescue, ℅ of Blake Veterinary Hospital, 66 Atlantic Avenue, Northport, ME 04849.
