Condolences

Condolence From: Debbie Groves
Condolence: I'm sorry to hear of Cris's passing, but very grateful to have known her. Many of us benefited from her comittment to the Forum program at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin. Through her efforts, a wide swath of the larger community came to speak at the Sunday Forums, educating & enlightening us. Cris was also very hospitable, opening up her house for various church parties and functions. My deepest sympathies to her partner and children for their loss.

Condolence From: Tim Mahoney
Condolence: I always thought that Chris and I were kindred spirits, though I did not know her until her later years, which I am beginning to approach myself. Although we never talked about her status directly, I know that she was excited about reuniting with Tom Justice, her long-time and final love, her great life-partner. I await any opportunity to assist with her service here in Austin, and send my love to her national family. Chris has a place in our hearts.

Condolence From: Rose Ann Reeser
Condolence: Chris was a brilliant and beautiful presence in the First UU of Austin church for many years. So many people benefitted from her work organizing the Public Affairs forum over the years. We will miss her and her lovely smile. Our condolences to Tom and the rest of Chris' family. May her spirit rest in peace.
