Condolence: I send my sincere condolences for the loss of Valerie. I loved her for: so much - her love of animals, including mine but most especially her cats, miniature schnauzers and St. Bernard; her devotion to family, past and present; her beauty; her fashion sense and decorating style; her beautiful voice and enunciation; her love of nature and paticularly gardening; her appreciation of good food; her flexibility - game to plan ahead or at the last minute; her hospitality: her practicality; her love of books, prose and poetry; her interest in politics and ideas; her perceptiveness; her curiosity; her values. I treasure having had Valerie for a good friend, terribly sad to have missed her last few years but grateful to have been in touch last summer.
