DeeDee grew up in Warren, attending schools there. On April 16, 1976, she married Neil Rahkonen on his birthday, in Rockland. The couple would make their home in Rockland for 37 years. DeeDee and Neil worked together at Port Clyde Canning for 17 years, and later with Mail Services in Rockland for over ten years. More than anything, DeeDee simply enjoyed being with, and spending time with, her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Neil W. Rahkonen; four brothers, Roy Davis, Carroll Davis, Larry Davis and Kim Davis; as well as two sisters, Darlene Young and Louise Johnson.

DeeDee is survived by her son, Chris Rahkonen and his wife Harmony of Morrill; daughter, Ashley Rahkonen and her fiance, David Walls of Rockland; twin brother, Dwight Davis; brothers, Craig Davis, Terrence Davis and his wife, Judy; sister, Lisa King and her husband Wayne; three grandchildren, Haili and Colton Rahkonen, and Ethan Walls; many nieces and nephews, including special nieces, Heather Winchenbach and her husband Jason, Rebekah Winchenbach and her husband Josh, and Kaitlin King and her companion Jack Raposo; and a special nephew, Andy Davis.
