Obituary for Albert "Al" Rottner

Albert "Al"  Rottner
Albert William Rottner, 91 of Pemaquid, passed away on the evening of October 28, 2017, at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta. Born on June 2, 1926 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Hugo and Mary (Cameron) Rottner.

Al was a veteran of World War II, and attended Ohio State University under the ASTP. He later received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Newark College of Engineering.

Al retired in 1986 from R.L. Faber and Associates in Clifton, NJ, and moved to Maine. He became very active in the Bristol Area Lions Club.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Carol Jeanne; daughter, Nancy Jane and her husband Richard Golojuch of Scarborough; grandson, Matthew C. of Washington, D.C.; and granddaughter, Kathryn A. of Sommerville, MA.

Per Al’s request, there will not be a service. If desired, donations in Al’s memory may be made to either the Bristol Area Lions Club, PO Box 11, New Harbor, ME 04554; or the Bristol First Responders, 104 South Side Road, New Harbor, ME 04554.
