Condolence From: Lori Douglass
Condolence: I am a former student at South Portland high school where Ralph was assistant principal at the time I was attending. There was an incident where I was being bullied on the bus to school. The next day, Ralph called me into his office. He was so compassionate and kind to me. I was shy, scared young middle school girl Who never got called to the principals office. He told me that he knew what happened on the bus and that I would never have to worry about those two boys bullying me again. His way was so reassuring and empathetic. I don’t know what he said to those two boys, but he was right… they never bothered me again. I am 58 years old and I have never forgotten what Mr. Egers did for me that day so very many years ago. I will never forget his kindness and sensitivity. He was truly called to work with young people. I have never met anyone quite like him and I am so blessed to have known such a beautiful soul. my heart goes out to his family at this time
I know what a great loss they are experiencing.

Condolence From: Carolyn Harris Zukowski
Condolence: Sending condolences to Ralph's extended family, and especially to Becky, who was a good friend of mine in elementary school. Becky, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember him as a positive, energetic person who strived to incorporate laughter into the sometimes tedious business of education. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Condolence From: Bill, Shirley, Irene & Family
Condolence: Janice, Becky, Lloyd, Judy & families:

Thinking of you every day since Ralph's passing and wish we could be there for the service but can't make it happen.

Ralph loved to visit PEI and we always looked forward to his summer visit with Janice, Lloyd & Judy. We have such great memories of our times spent together.

We thoroughly enjoyed his stories from years ago when he & dad were boys together on the Island.

We are very thankful that Janice called us from the hospital and we were able to talk with Ralph just a few days before his passing.

You all are in our hearts and prayers.

Bill & Shirley
