Obituary for Stanley "Charlie" "Big Boy" Vannah Jr.

Stanley “Charlie” A. Vannah, Jr., 84 of Waldoboro, died Friday evening at his home. He was born December 21, 1933 in Waldoboro a son of the late Stanley A, Sr. and Louise (Creamer) Vannah.

For more than forty-seven years, he worked on the Moody Farm in Nobleboro.

He was preceded in death by: two daughters, Jean and Sara; and a brother Richard “Sammy” Vannah.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Nancy J. (Potter) Vannah of Waldoboro; seven children, Lynn Waltz and her husband Stan of Nobleboro, David Vannah and his wife Susan of Waldoboro, Thomas Vannah and his wife Karla of Waldoboro, Mario Apaldo and his wife Sherry of Rockland, Rebecca Hart and her husband David of Nobleboro, Theresa Abaldo and her wife Tammy of Waterville, and Beth Bizier of Waldoboro; three sisters, Joan Genthner and her husband Clyde of Bremen, Susan Butler and her husband Drew of Waldoboro, and Sally Fogleman of Waldoboro; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a service to celebrate Charlie’s life, at 1 o’clock PM on Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2018 at the North Nobleboro Baptist Church, 546 Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro. Reverend Robert Bellows will officiate. Spring interment will be in the German Cemetery in Waldoboro.
