Condolence: This is sad news but I do have many fond memories of Carl and working at the Pier. He taught me a lot about cooking, which has served me well. He had a big heart and lived a great life.

Condolence: Dru,

From all of us here at Quail, my deepest condolences to you on the loss of your husband. From reading his tribute, he seems to have been quite an amazing man, who you have shared your life with for the last 20 years. The best to you and your family.

Condolence: I have so many stories/memories about working for Carl at "The Pier". The best one (and recurring one) centers around the Indian Pudding. I used to take a serving of it for myself as often as I could and Carl knew. I loved his Indian Pudding (and Baked Stuffed Lobster stuffing). He would announce it and act all gruff and grumpy about it and threaten to charge me for it but he never did. I am sorry for your loss. My condolences.....RIP Carl.
