Obituary for Marguerite Curtis

Marguerite  Curtis
Marguerite Elizabeth Curtis, 90, of Walpole, passed away early Monday morning, the 4th of June, at her home with family members by her side. Born on November 11,1927 in Waldoboro, she was the daughter of George and Myra (Orff) Soule.

Marguerite, and her husband Chester, raised three sons and five daughters. She was well known for her countless knitting projects she shared with over three generations. For many years, she was a Miles Memorial Hospital League Rummage Sale volunteer. Marguerite was employed as a cook for Miles Memorial Hospital during the 1970's.

She was predeceased by husband, Chester; son, John; and granddaughter, Amber Brignole.

She will be greatly missed by daughters, Jane Hopkins of Land 0' Lakes, Florida, Kathy Curtis of Walpole, Mary Dodge and husband Douglas of Walpole, Beth Drake and husband Steven of Nobleboro, and Annette Foster of Licking, Missouri; sons, Chester Curtis and wife Brenda of Manassas, Virginia, and Danny Curtis and wife Caroline of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren, Andrea White and husband John, Kristen Orne and husband Dale, Adam Curtis, Andrew Curtis, Justin Drake and wife Jana, Jason Drake and wife Alice, Nicholas Curtis and wife Tess, Nathan Curtis, Christopher Curtis, Steven Foster and wife Victoria, and Daniel Foster; great-grandchildren, Anna Drake, Corbin Drake, Marjorie Drake, Curtis Drake, Simon Drake, Calvin Curtis, Allen White, Taylor Brignole, Mackenzie Curtis, Jayden Curtis, Skyler Orne and Jayden Orne.

A private graveside gathering will be held for her family.
