The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of James "Skip" Middleton can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Charlene, I was so saddened to learn of Skips passing. He was such a wonderful man that never gave up on life dispite his disabilities. He was lucky to have had you and as hard as it may have been you always stayed by him. I will remember both you and Skip as part of my early and original Sock Hop Family but most of all the honor of calling you both my friends. Please except my condolences and heartfelt sympathy.

With love
Steve Colella

Condolence: Sincerest condolences to Skip's family, he was a dear, sweet man who welcomed a newbie to BHS in 1965 with a poem he wrote for me. I have such great admiration for the way he lived is life and I will always remember his kindness and courage. He made us all proud! I hope he would not mind if I shared it now.
Happyness is:
H aving friends who are true
A ttending Church and Sunday School
P leasing others when they are blue
P ills when you have a flu
Y es, the people you make happy when they are new
N ow and then a shot or two
E very then and now some other booze
S tanding ten feet tall when you're on five two
S kip made this poem especially for you

Happiness is something that everyone should obtain
Especially I have found it here in the State of Maine
Remember that it can be expressed out loud
From anyone to another of whom the people are proud.
