Condolence: Steven was my gardener and I had looked forward to him working in my garden for years to come. He was a kind man and one of the best gardeners I have ever come across. He will be missed by me and his many friends.

Condolence: So sad to see the passing of such a wonderful guy. We new Steven from the days we ran Cohen's Deli. Steve was a regular and when we closed, Steve was happy to employ our eldest son Edward at Reny's. A wonderful man, just a great and interesting guy, he will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers with his family and many friends.

Condolence: I've known Steve since the days when he and I both attended Lincoln Academy. He always had a friendly hello; and that was still the case during all those times through the years when our paths would cross at Reny's, Hannaford, and especially at Cove's Edge, where we were both visiting parents. I was always very impressed with how frequently and loyally he would stop there to care for his parents. He was a wonderful person, and I'll certainly miss seeing him. Rest in Peace Steve...... Condolence: I'm a former student of Stevens mother, Mona Ridley. I am so saddened by the sudden death of Steven. I was always impressed at how he loved and cared for his parents as they were aging. He always had a friendly word and a smile for Mona's students. My condolences to Stevens family and friends. I pray for his eternal peace. May he find rest with Jesus.

Condolence: I just reconnected with Steve on Facebook a few years ago. We visited Steve uncle Malcolm and aunt Mona a few summers ago. My twin girls always refer to him as just Steve. He even came to their 11th birthday party in Auburn. They are especially feeling the loss of him. I will forever miss his comments on my posts on Facebook and our conversations. May he be at peace and may family and his friends be in peace as well.

Condolence From: Christopher Cooper
Condolence: I have known Steve Ridley for most of my adult life. I saw him almost daily when he worked at Hunt Brother's and Marriner's Lumber in Wiscasset and Damariscotta, and I stopped a couple times a year to see him after he moved to Spear's. He was a smart, funny, decent and kind human being, and I have only good memories of him. We ran into each other periodically at Hannaford grocery store and blocked the aisle for several minutes talking. He was openly, honestly interested in my life, my thoughts, my well-being. There was no artifice or superficiality to him. My life was richer for knowing him.

Condolence: To Steve's family: I knew Steve way back when in high school. He was a kind and gentle soul. Life does not treat people well sometimes and I know that he had his trials here on earth. May you RIP Steve and know that you had many people who thought well and lovingly of you.

Condolence From: Stephen Dixon
Condolence: Dear Sarah, Iain, and Steven, Your father's passing is a shock and great sadness for many of us in the community, but I know that your grief and sense of loss will far outweigh ours. I had just been to the plant department of Louis Doe's where your father so pleasantly helped me select annuals for my garden. I also remember the days when he worked at Reny's, always with a welcoming smile. And, of course, I remember his interest in your education when he would attend those annual parent conferences and other school events. I am praying for his spirit and for you to be given the strength to endure your loss. Sincerely yours, Stephen Dixon

Condolence: You were loved and wanted. You were no monster, and anyone that said so should go back and read Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein and The Crucible to remember who the real monsters are.

Condolence: To Steve's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Steve friended me on FB years ago. We never met in person, but had so many discussions under our posts or more often by messenger. When I posted anything, Steve was always the first to "like" it or comment. I can only say I am proud that he called me friend. I wish he could see the outpouring of love that has occurred among his friends. I will forever regret that our love could not have kept him here with us. RIP, Steve. You will be in our hearts always and forever.
