Condolence: To the family of Thomas Darson, I've only learned of his passing by doing a Google search because he was an important person in my younger, formative life. Mr. Darson was my piano teacher for many years when I was growing up in New Jersey in the 1970s. He championed me for my piano ability, and I was a guest in his East 50's apartment in Manhattan on numerous occasions both during and after our professional association (my father paid for the piano lessons, I didn't). Mr. Darson prepared meals for us in his apartment and took me out to Chinese dinners, although he possessed limited means to do so. I want to share these memories with Tom's family because he was a great friend who championed me and my abilities at a time when I was truly lost. Although our relationship over the years was strictly platonic, he complimented me and made me feel cherished for the very first time in my young life. God bless you Thomas Darson.
