Paul E. Dedrick, 77 of Newcastle, known to some as Mr. Paul or Bumpah, passed away at his home on the morning of October 6th. Paul was a proud veteran who always went out of his way to talk to those that served, and are currently serving.

Paul loved to cook and bake with his wife Nancy for those that were closest to them...or anybody for that matter, they enjoyed it that much. They were known to meet strangers and end up baking for them making new friends in the process. Their kitchen became known as the P & N Diner.

He leaves behind a wife of 53 years, Nancy (Dinsmore) Dedrick; two sons, Daniel Dedrick, US Army Veteran currently residing in Arizona, and Dennis Dedrick, United States Air Force Retired currently residing in Virginia; two granddaughters, whom he loved more than anything, Brea and Joleena Dedrick who will miss their Bumpah, also residing in Virginia; a brother, Butch Brandow of Athens, New York; niece and nephew, Jennifer Swan currently residing in Massachusetts, and Robert Dinsmore, II residing in Florida.

Arrangements are currently being made. In lieu of flowers, the family asks the you make donations to you local animal shelter in Paul’s name.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543. Condolences, and messages for his family, may be expressed by visiting: www.StrongHancock.com.
