Hastings

Condolences

Condolence From: Dale E Tolman
Condolence: My thoughts and prayers go out to Pat at this difficult time. I have only know Don and Pat through dining at the counter at Moody's over the past several years. Always looked forward to seeing you walk through the door and settle down on stools beside the group of us. Lots of fond memories during those shared meals. Don was not only a caring and knowledgeable fireman, but also a kind, loving and attentive husband to Pat. God has something special in store for him in heaven.

Condolence From: Donald L Grinnell
Condolence: The Grinnell family of Washington, Me is saddened by the loss of a true family friend. Our Dad was Fire Chief in a mutual aid town with Jefferson. Dad often called on Don's expertise and assistance whether in training or on a working fire. The WFD is a better organization due to Don. Dad and our late mother always truly enjoyed the annual lobster feed put on by Don and Pat. Our family thought so much of Don that we asked him to play an important role in Dad's funeral just this past spring. We will miss seeing him at Moody's Diner where he would always come see us at our table or vice versa at his counter stool. We hope that two Don's have now reunited in one of Heaven's rural fire stations.
