Condolences

Condolence From: Christopher E Holt
Condolence: I remember Charlie hiring me at No Tomatoes restaurant. It was awhile ago. He was always good to me. It was a great place to work. I also remember some of stories he would tell. He had a great sence of humor. I have many good memories of him. I'm very sorry for your loss. Prayers are with your family.

Condolence: Katrina and Girls - You know there are not enough words. I knew Charlie years ago from his Auburn days but got to know him better at Schooner. I will miss his silly laugh, his silly jokes and his "I dont give a crap" attitude. Let's all put on a golf visor, crack a smile with a twinkle in our eyes and live a little more like Charlie did. There's a little bit of Charlie in in us all just dying to get out. Love you.

Condolence From: Rachel Heath and family
Condolence: Katrina I am so deeply saddened for you and Charlie's family. You two were such a great pair, I loved hearing about your next winter trip and seeing the pics after! I wish I had had a chance to get to know Charlie better. I have fond memories of your wedding celebration at Schooner, you singing and Charlie watching you with such love and admiration in his twinkling eyes. I enjoyed the fruits of his cooking lessons...that lobstah mac & cheese was delish! We are here for you Kat and the community has definitely lost something special in Damariscotta town! May he haunt us all! Deepest Condolences from the Heath family of Jefferson.

Condolence: Charlie, Charlie, Charlie. God I loved the guy. He was the first Mainer with whom I became friends during my first summer (2013). We shared a love of golf and good times. We played at Boothbay and drank in Newcastle and Damariscotta. Coming back from Boothbay the music would blast and he would play the air guitar. We would argue about what group we were listening to. Charlie usually won. On the course he would win a hole and say ‘Winner winner, chicken dinner’. Great times with he and Katrina. We are all less for this loss. May God bless and keep him. Charlie, I will see you on the other side my friend.

Condolence From: Kristen Lape
Condolence: Dear Family, The Lapes are all so sad to hear of Charlie's death. We have such fond memories of first being neighbors, our parents friendships, and sharing birthday and weddings with you. Charlie was my first boyfriend (6), until Peggy MacVane stole him away. He was the cutest, skinniest little guy. My heart goes out to his whole family. With love, Kris Lape

Condolence: I still can't believe you are gone...you always seemed so invincible to me. Our family and our lives are forever changed without you here. There will be no new funny, crazy Charlie stories to tell...but no doubt your stories will be told...heaven know there are A LOT! They will be told with love and laughter...just as you would want it to be. I will love always and miss you forever. Your little sister Priscilla

Condolence From: Greg Latimer & Sally Lobkowicz
Condolence: A tragic loss for family, friends and the community. Charlie's contributions to the Edward Myers Marine Conservation Fund through his support of the Pemaquid Oyster Festival was just one of many little known ways he "paid it forward." Never one for center stage, during the Oyster Festival he was always manning a grill, serving cooked oysters, side by side with his staff. We will take the advice of the Notice writer and for all the rest of our days, "tell more jokes, jam on our air guitar and be unapologetically who we are and keep a little more Charlie in this world." We look forward to the event on Saturday. Our warmest wishes to Katrina and Charlie's family.
