Obituary for Helen F. Vierling

Helen F. Vierling
Helen F. Vierling, born in Hackensack, NJ on February 11, 1914, passed
away in the early hours of September 14, 2010 at her home in Damariscotta,
ME.

The youngest, and last surviving, of six children, Helen grew up in New
Jersey where she married her husband George in 1937. They moved to
Damariscotta in 1973 from South Salem, NY where she was an active Girl
Scout leader and PTA member. Helen always delighted in putting on a great
party or bridge game, and welcoming family and friends into her home.

She is survived, and much loved, by two daughters, Marion Mullinder of
Woolwich and Christine Beach of Gorham; son, David and his wife Carol of
Colorado Springs; grandsons, Lee and Timothy Vierling and Ian and Brett
Mullinder; and two great-granddaughters, Tia and Kira Vierling.

Special thanks to Dr. Teel, Carol, Lexi, Jen and Marie. Your compassion and
caring allowed Helen’s wishes to remain in the familiar, peaceful surroundings of her own home to be fulfilled. For this we will be forever grateful.

So that others may live out their days in the comfort of their own home,
donations may be made in Helen’s name to: Elder Power, 277 Main Street, Suite 1, Damariscotta, ME 04543.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta. Condolences for the family may be expressed by visiting: www.StrongHancock.com.
