The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of F. Fondriest can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: We were so saddened to learn of Fred's death.

We have been friends since Sue and Fred arrived in Lake Forest. We spent time with them in North Carolina, and they were instrumental in our moving to Florida. We enjoyed times in Maine in their beautiful home, surrounded by Fred's museum quality furniture. We called him Freddy - and he put up with it - probably amused at the audacity of such an incongruous nickname.

We will miss him. We grieve with you for the loss of your father and father-in-law, a most remarkable man.
