Obituary for Marjorie Oliver

Marjorie  Oliver
Marjorie Oliver, of Nobleboro, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 3, 2016. She was born May 20,1942 in Bath, the daughter of Charles Harris Foster and Florence Fairbrother Foster. She attended Bristol Consolidated School and married John W. Oliver and raised six children in Nobleboro.

Over the years she worked for Sylvania, Fieldcrest Manor, Medomak Canning company and was a private caregiver. She enjoyed babysitting her great grandchildren, gardening, feeding birds, bird watching, family get togethers, cookouts, cooking, listening to country music, paddle boating with Tina and Jazzy, camping, taking pictures of family and looking at them often, lawn sales, and antiques. She loved doing for all of her children, and being there for all of her family when they needed her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and brother, Everett Foster.

Mrs. Oliver is survived by her children, Deborah Meadows of Damariscotta, Pamela Peaslee and husband Richard Peaslee Jr of Somerville, John Oliver Jr. and companion Penny Kennedy of Nobleboro, James Oliver of Nobleboro, Theresa Oliver of Nobleboro and long time companion John Murphy of Woolwich, and Jason Oliver of Nobleboro; a sister, Barbara Brewer of Brunswick; her grandchildren, Melissa Abbott and her children Tyler and Kaiden, Kathy Murphy and her son Zane, David Nichols Jr and his children Amber, Jordan,Shaelynn,Destiny and Max, Amanda Meadows and her children Bryce, Madison, and Dylan, Bethany Oliver and her children Damian and Jaxon, Kimberly Leavitt and her children Avianna and Lucas, Rebecca Meadows, and Jonathan Meadows; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a time of visitation on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 11:00am-12:00 noon, followed by a funeral at 12 Noon all at the Strong-Hancock Funeral Home, 612 Main Street, Damariscotta, Maine. Interment will be in the Oliver Family Cemetery in Nobleboro.
