Condolence: Truly only God knows the number of times some form of the words "We will have to ask Joe Gray" were uttered in our home when I was growing up. What a guy and true asset to the community. A life very well lived.

Condolence: Dearest Carolyn,

I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Now I am doubly glad that I got a chance to speak to him at the Hearts Every Young concert a few weeks ago. God bless Joe in his final resting place and you, Carolyn, my dear musical buddy in this time of sadness and grief. My thoughts are with you and sending hugs as well. xoxoxo

Condolence: Dear Carolyn,

It has been one of my great pleasures to talk with Joe hear his stories and be present for things like his " Quilt of Valor." I loved writing about his adventures and seeing him as Grand Marshall of the parade a few years back.

I found him delightful and will miss knowing he is on this earthy plane with us. Sending you my best wishes and condolences.

Condolence: I knew Joe very well growing up in Jefferson and being active in Scouts. Joe taught me many life lessons not just in scouts but how to be a productive member of society and he was very influential in my decision to join the Air Force. He helped me through some tough times as a teen as well, I will never forget his words to me as long as I live. Sending my deepest condolences.

Condolence: Dear Carolyn and family,

My condolences to you as you mourn Joe's passing. The last time I saw him we had fun discussing "Zez" Confrey's pieces. And a while back Joe and I had fun playing "Twelfth Street Rag." I will miss him.
