Condolences

Condolence From: William Child
Condolence: I am soooo sorry to have heard of Joann's passing. She was a wonderful and spirited gal right to the end it seems. I was at the UUF Service sitting behind one row and several seats away from her and during our "Joys and Sorrows" portion of the service she stood tall and proud and happy to tell us about an organization she worked with that had helped a young man find a new home and furniture and supplies etc She was so happy she even continued whispering to another sitting next to her about the joy she felt helping this young person. A few minutes before the end of the service Joann got up and quietly left the gathering, I figured to get back to her causes and "time is saving" she'd think perhaps. I imagined someone of her high quality going above and beyond as far as possible with these causes and as long as she had breath in her she would help others. What a treasure for all to aspire toward and emulate whenever possible. Sitting in the same seat as the week b
efore, at the UUF service and after hearing the sad news... I actually received a warm feeling imagining the last time I would ever see Joann again... she was leaving the room... outward bound on another helping cause and couldn't wait to get going... I wish I'd learned more of her causes... Even Heaven might need a helping hand and Joann would be there to do it!! Bill Child

Condolence: Joann was my loved aunt and we spent many wonderful years together on vacations, holidays, and weekends in California. She and my mother were great friends and enjoyed their time together so much. Both had laughs that sounded like music.

She was such an extraordinary person, so full of life, of humor, and love, and she had a curious and open mind. What she considered her greatest accomplishment in life was raising such wonderful children, and she was so proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren!

The world is a better place because of her.

We miss her, are thankful to have know her and love her very much.

Condolence: I did not know Joann very long. I had her house listed for sale for the last couple of years. I would often stop by for one thing or another and Joann would mention about trying to move furniture and I though ..... no, you need help so, I would. Every so often she would call me about something and then say; "I have to go get this chair out of my car" and I would say; "No wait, I'll be right over". Joann called me in the spring. We had withdrawn her listing during the winter. She called to say she was going to list with someone else. I found it odd but also odd, she never listed it again. This was a shock to see tonight ... best wished for the family, Joann was an amazing person ..... I found her and her dogs a delight.

Condolence: Dear Joann - we shall miss you after Fellowship service when we usually have a chat. You were such a quilt fan and always had something nice to comment about my lastest project especially Apple-ish which had an off center block that bothered you a lot. You asked why I did it and I said JUST BECAUSE. We had a chuckle about that.
You shall be missed, dear lady.
