Condolences

Condolence From: Patty Genthner Scudder
Condolence: It is with great sadness and love I feel in the loss of this wonderful person. When I entered Lincoln Academy from the "boonies" of Nobleboro, it was a very scary time. Jean was the nicest person to me, took me under her arm, and made me feel welcome as she did everybody. She was the kindest, sweetest, most giving person I have ever known and has forever made her lasting impression on all who ever knew or loved her. I am sad for you, her family, but I also know she is close to you as she has always been as love never dies.

Condolence: I was sad to learn of Jean’s passing. We would have attended her service but we were out of town for the Thanksgiving weekend. I remember Jean as a sweet lady with a welcoming smile. She and Bob were good friends of my parents from their Lincoln Academy days. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.

Condolence: I have adored Jean Strong since I was a child, growing up in the Second Congregational Church parsonage . Jean was part of the choir and babysat for me & my brothers When I would come home to visit my Mom, Afton Haggett, I always looked forward to seeing Jean during coffee hour at the church.

My condolences to the family.

" Heart Gifts " by Helen Steiner Rice It's not the things that can be bought that are life's richest treasure , It's just the little " Heart Gifts " that money cannot measure.....A cheerful smile , a friendly word , a sympathetic nod are priceless little treasures from the storehouse of our God....They are the things that can't be bought with silver or with gold , for thoughtfulness and kindness and love are never sold...They are the priceless things in life for which no one can pay , and the giver finds rich recompense in giving them away .
