Condolences

Condolence From: George m a u r o
Condolence: Please accept my belated condolences on your loss. Fred and I were close, particularly during our final year at Limestone High. When I took a notion to look up some of my old friends, Fred was first on my list. After we graduated we lost contact as he headed for Lynn and I went 2 unh and then into the Air Force. Fred was a serious student with a great mind, and a leader as well. Most of all, he was a mensch. The nicest guy I have ever known. God bless your family. Okay I got it all in

Condolence: Our deepest condolences to Fred’s family in this difficult time. I had the pleasure of working for Fred at Vicor for many years, and I would like to share what a wonderful person Fred was. Fred was such a creative, talented engineer, and never hesitated to help others. Fred was a visionary, who taught me many of the finer points of engineering. Fred never backed away from a challenge, and always managed to succeed. Fred was a good friend, who enjoyed discussing and sharing his passions in life. F², as he like to denote, will be sorely missed.

Condolence: Deepest condolences to Fred's family for loss of a remarkable person! I always appreciated our engineering discussions, and remembrances pop up for little things-
At this sad time and in the days ahead, may friends and family bring comfort.

Condolence: I met Fred through the Press Room, but we soon discovered that we shared an engineer's view of the world. Our friendship led to working together on several projects. Fred was a delight to work with. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: It’s difficult to know what to say. Cousin Fred was the closest thing to a big brother I had. So many thoughts now of the early ‘60s when he, cousin Laura, brother Paul and I lived together with my folks in Portsmouth while Fred was in college, and during his frequent visits for years after. Decades more memories follow, full of shared projects, brainstorming sessions, wonderful family reunions at Finmere Farm, and his steady presence and sound advice in difficult times.

There is no need to go on here about Fred’s diverse talents and achievements, his constantly engaging personality, and his strong family loyalty. If you knew him, you already know these things. If not, 1000 words wouldn’t do him justice. Indeed, few people fill a lifetime with more purpose and spirit, or share their life more generously, than did Fred Finnemore from Caswell Plantation, Maine.

Fred……. Mariko & I could not be more grateful, for the gift of having you in our lives.

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Fred’s passing. Sounds like he had a wonderful life! I remember when we were younger and he lived with Uncle Getch and Aunt Betty in Portsmouth NH and I lived there too (4th grade) he was so good to me.
May he RIP.

Condolence: Dear Nancy, Cynthia and Todd and assorted granchildren:

The obituary says it all !!In the thirty years I knew Fred, I experienced most of the qualities and quirks of Fred's persona. I also have tangible remembrances of Fred from the several projects he "designed and built" with me acting as "go fer" for him. As indicated "no" was not part of Fred's vocabulary whether it was in the context of stopping a project when day light ran out or whether it meant driving well into the night to a distant destination for a part or some type of material.

Fred certainly "added value" ( one of his favorite phrases) to this world and made many people much richer in spirit because of his unrelenting "can do" attitude and kind personality.

With Deep sympathy,

Tom & Carol St Germain
