Condolence: Sharon, my heart is with you during this very hard time of your life. David was a kind and gentle man who was a part of our family for a very long time. He loved all the children - his own grandchildren as well as Johnny's and mine. He was very proud of his girls and their children, and loved when they all came to visit. When I would talk to him on the phone, he would tell me the latest about everyone he had seen or talked to. He will be missed by everyone because he had many friends and family. He was an excellent example of the saying "he would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it" He truly would do that and pass it off as no big deal. He will not be forgotten! I love you and wish I could be there with you but as David always told me - we get old and sick and there is nothing we can do about it.
