Jean Vernet was one of the finest women I've ever known. She was kind, extremely intelligent and could bake apple cookies that melted in your mouth! For many years, she suffered serious health problems with courage and dignity. She and her husband, Steve, built their dream retirement home in Maine and enjoyed participating in their new community. I liked and admired Jean, and I will remember her always with great affection.
